Morse Code Game — Geometry Dash Style Runner with 9 Levels

Try it: Translator Learn Practice Quiz Game

Most Morse code games are just flashcards with a timer. Our Morse Runner is an actual game — a Geometry Dash style runner where you have to decode Morse signals under pressure or your character hits an obstacle and loses a life.

The idea is that pressure produces faster learning than comfort. When a block is coming at you and you have a few seconds to tap the right code, your brain stops treating it like a memory exercise and starts treating it like survival.

How It Works

Your character runs forward automatically. A Morse code signal appears — you hear it play and see the letter on the block. Tap dot and dash to decode it before the block reaches you. Correct answer — your character jumps cleanly over the block. Wrong answer or too slow — you lose a life.

The game gets faster as you clear more obstacles. Early in a run it feels manageable. By obstacle 20 it is not.

9 Levels — Easy to Insane

  • Level 1 — Easy Street: 6 letters, 3 lives, gentle pace. Good first run.
  • Level 2 — Signal Alley: 14 letters, still 3 lives.
  • Level 3–4: Full alphabet added in stages, pace increases.
  • Level 5 — Number Crunch: Numbers only. 5 signals each — harder than they sound.
  • Level 6 — Mixed Signals: Letters and numbers together, 2 lives.
  • Level 7 — Speed Demon: Full alphabet, noticeably faster.
  • Level 8 — One Life: Everything, one life only.
  • Level 9 — Insane: Max speed, one life, 30 obstacles. Completing this is genuinely hard.

Strategy tip: Tap your answer early. The game stores your input and fires the jump at the right moment — you do not need to wait until the block is close. Enter the code as soon as you hear or recognise it.

Stars and Scoring

Each level awards one to three stars based on score — one for finishing, two for a solid run, three for near-perfect. Your best score per level saves permanently. Levels unlock as you clear the previous one, so you cannot skip straight to Level 9 without earning it.

Sound Toggle

The "Sound: Wait ON" button controls whether the game waits for audio before accepting your input. Turn it off if you can read the letter on the block fast enough — you can tap the answer before the audio even plays, which is faster.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work on mobile? +
Yes. The dot and dash buttons are large touch targets. Arrow keys and keyboard controls also work on desktop.
What if I make a mistake while typing? +
The Clear button (or C key) resets your current input so you can start the code again. Your answer only locks in once you reach the full code length.
Do high scores save? +
Yes. Your best score for each level is saved to your device and shows on the level select screen.

Try Level 1 — Easy Street

6 letters, 3 lives, 10 obstacles. A good way to learn how the jump timing works.
